Here you can find information and documents applicable to the arrival and departure of vessels to and from the Port of Luleå. This information may relate to matters such as notification of vessels, water depth, prohibition of meeting and tug provisions.

Annex 2.1 Temporary Draft Restriction at Sandöleden

From April 10, 2025, there will be a temporary draft restriction at Sandöleden set at 10.25 meters. This restriction will remain in place until a new marine survey has been completed and verified, which is expected to occur by the end of the 2025 ice season. The normal draft of 10.70 meters and under keel clearance (UKC) are anticipated to be reinstated by June 10, 2025. Annex Tugboat exemptions(swedish maritime adm.)

Meeting bans apply in the fairway from Klubbnäset's breakthrough, buoys 3 and 4 in the east, and through Svartösundet to buoys 27 and 30 in the west.
The ban on meetings applies to vessels, with reporting obligations to the VTS area Luleå, with gross tonnage => 300 or LOA => 45 meters.
Exceptions apply to tugboats, icebreakers and other work vessels.

The tugboat order should be made as early as possible to ensure availability, but it must be placed no later than five hours before assistance begins.

Use following forms for ordering/cancellation/shifting berth with tugboats:

Luleå Hamn Port Control decides if a vessel has the permission to enter the port.
